We do this by fixing our eyes on Jesus.
There is no any other easy way of doing this! Israelites tried to make it through the Law God gave through Moses, but they stumbled and others died in the wilderness, even worse when they entered Canaan they bargained the glory of God with the idols of the Land. While they were fixing their eyes on the Law they flourished with pride and turned out to be hypocrites. Even us Gentiles instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, we worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles (Rom 1:23). Seeing that we failed to make it in life, even through the systems, cultures and traditions we made, God gave us a new way of Faith in which we can run this race that is set before us. Because our destiny is to sit in a place of honor, it was the thing the Law and traditions could not do.
[ We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.]
