Monday Message.

((( This gives us confidence. )))

Psychology says when you're in intimate relationship, spending time with someone, likely such happens when you're married with someone, you end up lookalike. As much as siblings look similar, even us when we are born again by receiving Jesus Christ we take His nature and personality to become like Him, and this is our confidence. As He is so are we is our series which we will delve into it.

Nothing can shake and frighten us, because nothing intimidates Jesus Christ, sickness bow to Him, devils bow to Him, poverty bow and Heaven, Earth and what's under bow alike. This is our confidence because as He is so are we. The word confidence means to "confide in", whatever you confide and pour yourself in nor divulge in, you end up resemble that thing.

If the coming of Jesus Christ still brings fear and terror to you, it means you're still obsessed with self, and the reflection of you still depends on your wealth, status, education and the world which means you're still self-centered, single-handed and the reflection you get in the mirror is of you not of Jesus Christ. Nevertheless, when we take the Word of God as our mirror we will see ourselves as Jesus Christ is. No child is at in terror and fear by waiting for his father coming back home, unless the child is at fault. Though the Father may punish us but He will never  banish us, he may discipline us but won't confuse and neglect us, He rebukes us with love only for us to be courageous.

Confidence comes when you know that, you resemble your father. Nothing gives the son courage and nothing gives the father honor than this truism that says "Like Father like Son". If we are born again by the Spirit of God, we automatically obtain the image and the likeness of God in our spirit man, and for it to manifest in the flesh we have to search and read in the Word of God our mirror. By virtue of His Word our mirror, we gain confidence, because as He is so are we and this gives us confidence.

Even when we flop and miscarry our gift, our resemblance doesn't change, we still look like Him. When we are down-and-out we still see ourselves as Jesus Christ is. Backsliding and lapsing it doesn't make us less of being God's children, but we just tarnish His identity and we harm ourselves more than it damages His reputation. When life give us lemons, the confidence we have in Him is our sweetness. Living in God brings confidence and we see more of His love as we look into His Mirror Word.

Being orthodox makes one to focus on their selves more than focusing on Christ, for anything you focus on most you end up looking like it. We only get confidence only by fixing our eyes upon Jesus Christ author and finisher of our faith.

[ Here is how love has been brought to maturity with us: as the Messiah is, so are we in the world. This gives us confidence for the Day of Judgment. ]
