Wednesday Message.

 Reconciliation is birthed by Sacrifice.

Without sacrificial paths reconciliation is deception. Sacrifice is divine, it is hard for a person in his  canal mind to sacrifice, because sacrifice need someone who is not self-righteousness or self-centered. For God to reconcile us back to Himself it required that He give away His Son (John 3:16). We also have to firstly love unconditionally before we can sacrifice.

Sacrifice is to give away something valuable to get at least a possibility of gaining something else of value such as self-respect, trust, love, freedom, prosperity, or to avoid an even greater loss. We as human beings we where all in a free way heading to condemnation and eternal death, of which it was going to be a great loss for God, as there is nothing that God loves so deeply and dearly like a human being (Psa 8:4-5). Just as a mother loves her children, so is the love of God for us that led Him to sacrifice Himself on behalf of us.

On the 16th of December South African is celebrating a Day of Reconciliation. This Day of Reconciliation has been created to mark the end of apartheid. The day, therefore, has been in existence since 1995. The purpose of this day was to foster unity and reconciliation across the country. The reason the date was selected is that it is significant to both African and Afrikaner cultures. The government purposefully selected a date that would be meaningful for both ethnic groups in an attempt to create racial harmony. As many more other nations were under the power of apartheid and oppression.

Just as when we receive Jesus Christ as our personal Savior (John 1:12). That day should be marked as our day of Reconciliation, for it marks the end of Sin and life of Unbelief, condemnation, guilt and death. However, it marks that we are now New Creatures (2 Cor 5:17). That now we are who God is, and we have taken back all that belongs to us. Because any reconciliation without restoration is counterfeit.

The message of Reconciliation has impacted many individuals holistically, for example for two or more people to reconcile, either one or the other need to forsake and sacrifice their selfish ways and pride to be in harmony again. Sacrifice proves reconciliation to be authentic. Considering the fact that everyone was oppressed by sin, condemnation and death; therefore, it costed God to clothe himself with human flesh (John 1:14). God sacrificed His divine Nature and abandoned His position as God, moreover He personified Himself as Jesus Christ. He Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; (Phil 2:8) He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. He humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross to reconcile us back to the divine life.

[For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,

(Romans 3:25)
