God could only speak to the Old Testament generation through symbols and signs! Signs and symbols are given to people who have no faith, because the generation of Grace use only faith as evidence of things not seen! In all resources that God can symbolizes Himself He chose an oil, Why? It is because oil is a symbol of power and flow, where God is there's no dryness or weakness. But now we no longer need symbols and signs for Faith has been revealed to us. For the time of scarcity and famine is coming where it will be impossible for a man to mix and make up things that symbolizes God. Those who still depends on what they see still need God's approval and justification but the just shall live by Faith and the Holy Spirit dwells in them by faith. The tangible oil was the Old Testament symbol of the Holy Spirit but now we receive Him by our faith in Jesus Christ.
[ And say to the Israelites, This is a holy anointing oil sacred to Me alone throughout your generations. ]
